When Johnnie met Joannie, his whole world changed

He couldn't believe his luck when a gorgeous girl with no sense of smell fell head over heals in love with him.

Good things rarely last, however, so their sad tale gives us the opportunity to tell their story in song.

Act 1 - Johnnie

Johnnie, loved drainage - very much indeed. Years of study and self-denial had paid dividends. His rise through sewerage was the envy of his peers ( to be continued...)

Act 2 - Joannie

Joannie was once famous.  She was a TV weather girl who got sacked because her chest was too big.

When she turned sideways her boosewammick substance made it look like Wales was always expecting a thunder storm (to be continued...)

Act 3 - Joannie meets Johnnie

As soon as Joannie clapped eyes on Johnnie she knew he was the one for her. Johnnie had a sweet face (like a half-chewed toffee) and lovely white teeth, but Joannie knew that, above all - he was well-heeled and gullible (to be continued...)

Act 4 - They Marry

It didn't take long before Joannie had Johnnie in the palm of her hand. Johnnie would have done anything for Joannie (including that). She knew that one day she would have Roger, but in the meantime...(to be continued...)

Act 5 - Where did it all go wrong?

Johnnie gave Joannie everything a woman could want. But she didn't love him.  Instead she loved Roger L'Rotter (or something like that) (to be continued...)
